I've got good, nice neighbours on one side and a nutty female and her anti-social husband on the other.
Great!

A chest specialist on one side, named Odin (he's from SriLanka) and his wife Sue, a classroom assistant, one daughter still at home, four other grown-up children who come and go at intervals.

A policeman and his classroom assistant wife and their daughter thirteen, and son about seven on the other.

Nice friendly people.
Wonderful, we have a real social area, virtually an open door policy.
Its so good, even though we need a bigger house, my wife refuses to move.
we've been really lucky with our neighbours. Never had any antisocial behaviour or anything.

The ones on our right are a married couple who are both 40 and have 2 daughters, one 12 and one almost 8. He is an auto-electrical engineer and she works in Boots. The eldest kid is learning the guitar, which is driving me mad, but she's a good kid so i don't mind.

On the left there's a bloke and his son who's probably in his late 20s. The younger one likes to fix up cars, and it can be annoying when you're trying to relax in the garden and they start spray painting or angle grinding, but for the most part they keep themselves to themselves.

They keep banging doors. Otherwise they are OK. I have had a few occasional words like late night DIY and bonfires during the middle of the day when my washing is out. Otherwise I don't really know them other than to say occasional hello if I see them.

The door banging is really annoying. I don't have a neighbour on the other side. There is a road on the side. Why do you ask?

AS you look from the front, the Neighbour to my right is 94yrs I do my best to look after her & do what I can & always have since her hubby Died ( I do not want a halo or Anything in her will ) To our left a family which iI try to help out with their car & house problems ( He is not very good in repairs but they are belting people
The ones on my right are really nice but the ones on my left are the neighbours from hell. I had to get the Environmental Health / Council to take them to court for noise nuisance a few years back.
Mine are lovely one side is Turkish she hardly speaks any english but we mime to each and she's always laughing. Any of their holidays festivals she always brings round food etc. Down side is you can't go in without being given what amount to a meal.

The other side he's an umpire and is hardly here but when he is about 5 or 6 times a year he's very socialable.

Over the road 2 families both with a young toddler each.

Wonderful on both sides.
At holiday and other going-away times we swap house keys, feed each other' cats and fish and so on. Take in each others parcels to save that card through the letter-box and trudge to the sorting office. Fine people.
A bit odd! We only have neighbours on one side, they are about 60, a couple. He is one of those people who is constantly improving the house, and we hear the hoover almost every day (it puts me to shame!!), and sawing and hammering and stuff. But... we have never seen them bring any food shopping home or EVER put any rubbish out, in the 3 years we've been here! And when we first moved in we put our rubbish out and they took it quietly into their house, several times??! Made me really paranoid and I chose to take it to the tip for months after that! One day I happened to be in the kitchen and saw him watering our garden over the fence!! (I do water it myself). And another day I happened to see him blatantly out of our front window taking ages looking through our bottles in our recycling box. But they always say hello!

We have had loads of debates about whether they do these odd things because they don't like 'a mess', or they somehow disapprove of how we do things, or if they are naturally very neighbourly people who are doing us a turn? Or very nosy! The weird thing is we have never spoken about the rubbish since we've been here, and we still don't understand what they live on... our old cat food?? hahaha
WELL..... on our right is a family who are lovely, BUT... we we being burgled for months, someone had stolen our front door key, and coming over from next doors garden over the fence and stealing while i was home ( was upstairs!) anyway finally realised after the kids wii went missing, the police tracked the burgalers down and it turned out to be the 16 yr old daughter from nxt door and her boyfriend!!
All my jewelery, kids ds's, games, ipods, my grandmas earings i was left mobile phones.
I called o2 and asked if my phone had been used after it went missing, they gave me 1 number that was dialled the most from the phone, i called it and the daughter from nxt door answered the call!!!
Yet, they were found not guilty on the basis police failled to provide proper case x GUTTED. never got anything back, insurance paid out tho.
On the plus side, on the left of us the old lady is lovely.
Since the trail we have put our house up for sale, the boyfriends family 12 of them, turned up outside my house at night threatening our family. Im outta here xx
On one side we have a snotty cow with bleach blonde hair who chooses to work rather than be a mother and never actually bothers with them on the occasions she is at home....she swans around with her nose in the air, wears sunglasses when there is no sun and basically is up her own bum!
He is a stay at home dad who doesnt discipline or supervise his 2 naughty sons....who lets a 4 yr old ride around in the road on his bike unsupervised? This child is at school now and yet stil needs a dummy and a blanket to drag around.
We live in a pretty middle class area and they dont spk to us because we objected to them planning to build a house in their garden...as is our right!!

However....all our other neighbours are totally lovely and we have lots of dinner parties, BBQ's and drinks parties which are great fun! x
Just as an addition...I was not implying that mothers who work are bad mothers! I am a working mum but devote tonnes of time and energy to my children...she never plays with them and has her days off by choice during the week when they are at school and works all the time at the weekend. Just wanted to clear that up before I accidentally offended anyone! xx
Marvellous! The best! The people on the left are bikers, like us, so we hit it off immediately. We look after their cat whilst they're away, we borrow each other's cars, the guys occasionally go away on bike rallies together, he helps us to fix our cars, she gets cheap photographic gear for us and I help him with his business paperwork and his computer problems.

Elsewhere in our little cul-de-sac, the others are great too. We're not in and out of each other's houses, but we all keep an eye out for one another and help out when it's needed.

We have the cows on three sides.. six black and white and ..how now....the brown one. Mr Phessiwick and his 13 lady friends reside in the garden and during mating season Jack and Vera {the ducks} live with us. I know we are both mad but we love it.
Great neighbours------most veering on pension age.All speak to each other and we all help each other if we can.
There is one young family with a young child and they are really nice people.
I think we are very lucky.
Have lived in a fair few places in the U.K , this is our 7th place, so have experienced a number of neighbours who were not nice at all.
