I have had very achy knees, also behind the knee, sore, tight calves like i just ran a marathon and achiness in the entire leg for the past few weeks. Now it has started aching at the top of my thighs and hips. the pain comes and goes, and when it isnt in my legs, it seems to move to my back and neck. before this started i had a few bouts of cramping in my calves. lately my whole body seems to ache someplace. its even somewhat painful for me to drive, i seem very tight. any suggestions would be appreciated. i tried to get in to see a specialist (rheumatologist) but have to wait a month for an appt.

If you have to wait 4 weeks to see a specialist, get back to your doctor and ask for pain relief to tide you over until you get a proper diagnosis. And let him/her know how much it is hurting and upsetting you.
I mentioned your Q to my wife who has Fybramyalgia and she says she has much the same symptoms. I do hope not, as it`s most debilitating.

im the one with knee pain. im 52. i sure hope it isnt fibromyalgia too, my dad had that and ur right, it is very debilitating. i wonder if its hereditary. thanks for the input.
Could it be problems with your gait, ie not walking quite right which puts stress on your knees, hips etc and tightens up the muscles.
A trip to an osteopath may help in the meantime.

I see a rhumatologist but get help from an osteo as well as physio inbetween.

It might free some of the aching up.
