Hi, I feel really silly just for asking this as I'm sure it's most likely just a case of telling yourself not to be so damned ridiculous and sort it out however, I seem to find that I just 'can't be bothered' to anything lately. I can't seem to get up to go to work which of course, I really do need to do. I have every reason to get up and go but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. I don't know if this is brought on by stress as there does seem to be a lot of that flying around lately but more importantly, I want to know how to snap myself out of it. Does anyone know any tips or hints that might just give me a kick up the bum?

I've been having the same problem myself, i just feel so tired in the morning and it being so cold doesn't help. Try and always have some fun planed or something to look forward to each day, even if it's something really small like having something yummy for lunch or promising yourself a nice hot bubble bath when you get home. Also try doing some kind of excersie. I find the best thing is dancing, just put some sexy music on and dance around your room
I have an acquaintance who uses a "Light Box "(supplied by N.H.S.) on the advice of his G.P. He has been diagnosed with S(easonal)A(ffective) D(isorder). It's to try to reproduce the intensity of natural light which is sadly (pardon the pun) lacking at this time of year. It has worked wonders for him.
I feel the same at the moment. The best thing I did at the weekend was go out for a really long walk. Exercise really does help, especially fresh air and exercise.

Roll on spring!

There are plenty of others eager to take your job......why not give it to them.
Oh, Terambulan - how unsympathetic...have you never felt down? I certainly have and so can understand where poor old Charlo is coming from. Lots of people suffer from mild depression and never really know it. Loftylottie was bang on - exercise is a brilliant way to lift a cloud....and I dont mean going to the gym...get out and go for a damn good walk and blow away the cobwebs. Also, make small targets - write them on a list and cross them off as you go...even with chores around the house..its not as easy as snapping out of it! Its a pretty crappy time of year anyway and lots of people are feeling the same way...laughter is great medicine so try to hook up with a friend for a coffee and a gossip, put on something nice and make yourself look good. Hope u feel better soon. Lots of love. xxx
Brilliant posting Angie. The best thing you can do is achieve just a small target daily. Clean out a cupboard. Clean the bathroom - something that gives results you can see. Don't think of all the things you have to do and then panic - you end up doing absolutely nothing and feeling even worse. Don't punish yourself.

Coffee and a gossip and laugh with a good friend is the best medicine out.

Take care.
Have you had a blood test?
I felt the same a few years ago and it turned out I had an underactive thyroid.
Its not a nice feeling though, but its good to know you are not on your own, hope you feel better soon.
i am exactly the same at the moment....i think i might have some depression going on....seriously just spent the whole day on my own and havent spoken to anyone...keep 'working from home' as i cant bear to go out?! weird....
