I am looking for a great upbeat song from a musical that features male and female voices, overlapping bits and harmonies! (To teach to a group). Anyone got any good ideas?!

How about the one that goes 'I like to be in Ameeeriiiicaa' from West Side Story?
..or 'oom pah pah, oom pah pah that's how it goes..' from Oliver!
Check out 'South Park The Movie'.  There are many songs like that.

"Summer Nights" from Grease

The Telephone Song from Bye, Bye Birdie

Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better

Can't remember the musical though

"I'd do anything for you dear" - Oliver

Hi Scarlett

When I was in a youth choir we sang an arrangement of the "Rhythm Of Life" from Sweet Charity... a real rousing anthem, very pleasurable to sing and has all the bits you mentioned in your question.

Thanks

I love Blow Gabriel Blow from Anything Goes. It's really rousing and I'm always left singing it for days after I hear it.
Or you could try "Come what may" from Moulin Rouge, great song from a superb movie.
Showboat has lots of songs like that.
What about just about anything by Abba??
