My sister lives 6000 miles away, is 3 yrs younger than me. Very bossy, says things like "that lipstick's the wrong colour", or "you're not coming out with me wearing that". 'Phones when she wants something. When we do manage to meet, I never challenge the things she says, as I'm only too glad to see her. She's always been a bossy boots, but I love her to bits.
We don't ask to choose our family and many people think because they are family, you should tolerate the kind of bad behaviour, you would never from anyone else.

I will never be close to my sister, because of the way she is and the fact that she lacks any kind of decency or conscience. She has spawned 2 sons, who are exactly like she is and the only thing she would be reaching our for, from me, would be my wallet.

I'm not one of these people who think bad behaviour from family should be just overlooked.
Haven`t spoken to my sister for about 16 years and i dont intend to either!
No...she is a bitch! Bullied me all my life..she is 3 yrs older and managed to turn my m,other against me when she was depressed and vunerable. I have not seen my sister for about 7 yrs, have no contact and do not care if I never see her again. I have managed to repair my relationship with my mother, but only to a degree. Hope that answers you question from my perspective!!
love my older sis we get on really well my younger sis I love to bits but we can clash sometimes :-)
My sister is 11 years older than me and we've not seen each other or been in touch for 18 years, she has never seen 2 of my 5 children or my 2 grand daughters, our parents split up 22 years ago and she stayed with dad I went with mum,. She phoned me once to tell me to get mum not to claim more money from dad or her (sister) would end up in a council house. Put the phone down on her (we were living in council and proud of it). So that was the end of that one.
Not seen or been in touch with dad, did write to him to say I understood how he couldn't live with mum (neither could I) haven't heard a world from him for 18 years.

Not good with my family, their loss,
I'm happy with hubby and kids, they may not always get on, but they rally round when needed. For that I'm proud of.
