16 and commited a crime now 19 and want to know how long it stays on my record for???

hi i was 16 at the time when i stuck up for my brother in a fight. i am now 19. The person i hit dident want to press charges but the police said they had to carry it out. i got a repramand for assult. i was just wondering how long it would stay on my record for and would i be able to get a work visa for australia? if any 1 can tell me email me back on [email protected]

if you went to court and were found guilty or pleaded guilty,then you have a criminal record and although after a few years it becomes spent,as a criminal conviction it stays on your record for life.
A caution for assault is now spent. The same foes for a reprimand.

You would not have the declare it even if asked to any employer in the UK, except where they are exempted from the ROA.

You WOULD have to declare it to the Australian Embassy even if only asked for convictions as outside the UK it is equal to a conviction. You may be able to get a visa, most probably so for common assault, and if lucky ABH, GBH or GBH with intent is unlucky, but to be sure you need to speak to the relevant embassy.
