does anyone know of a website that teaches you all (or most) you need to know about photography to reach the professional standard? I'm looking for a website that teaches the same kind of information that you would learn at college. I am planning to study this in college in a couple of years, as it is not possible at the moment, but i would really like to learn as much as i can at home before i go to college.

I don't think a website will be able to teach you all that you need to know. What you need is a teacher, and a camera of your own, and books. The internet is good for some things, but almost certainly not for this. Why don't you spend the time reading books (sparingly if you wish) on photography theory, and actually taking photographs that you can back up with thoughts on your own experience and context?

I suggest you join a local camera club, they're for people of all abilities. Otherwise start with books bt John Hedgecoe and then join. Good luck.
