i am 15
and im about 5 ft 7
just because you love photos doesn't mean you're model material.

obviously this is not my specialist subject so I would suggest you walk into an agency and ask them. I'd say you're not tall enough, you don't sound confident enough (I see your other questions where you want to dye your hair and get coloured contacts) and the world of modelling is full of rejection.

you may, of course, be just what someone is looking for.

ok thnx for ur suggestions

there's no harm in talking it through with your parents..

but you really should have come back with, "well I think I can do it"!

best of luck :o)

I think that most of the models who do well in the industry have 'distinctive' and not 'pretty' faces. Some of them are actually quite masculine looking.

It is a tough industry and very few people make big money modelling.

However Good Luck in whatever you decide to do.
Having worked in the Fashion Industry for years, I know if you want to be a catwalk model, you need to be a minimum of 5' 9" tall and size 6-8. I don't think it's necessarily important to be beautiful, but you should be photogenic.

It's a competetive industry and at your height, you may be able to get into Catalogue or promotional modelling. You will probably need to be a perfect size 10 for catalogues. Unless you try, you will never know, so why not put yourself forward.

thanx or all ur suggestions .. will hopefully tlk it throuhg with my parents soon :D
Velvetee is right - it's being photogenic rather than pretty that makes a model successful.

I remember seeing a documentary about teen model Niki Taylor who was a model from her teen years onwards. She was interviewed sitting on a beach, and looked like any other pretty seventeen-year-old, until she got up and walked away from the camera. You could find a thousand girls as pretty as her, but nine-hundred-and-ninety-nine of them could not move with that fluid grace - that is why she is a model, and thousands of other pretty girls are not.

Look at Kate Moss - snaggly teeth, wonky nose, but the camera sees her as one of the most hypnotically beautiful faces in the world.

It's an indefineable 'something' that makes a model, and a good agency will spot it if youhave it.

Avoid at all costs any agent which asks you to pay for a portfolio of shots - they are usually dubious.

Try a few, and get some advice, and don't sign anything!

Good luck.
