Hi all!

Sorry i haven't posted for ages but i have been really busy.
Anyway as you all know i lost my beautiful Rocky to cancer on the 17th september of this year.
I have since rescued a 4 year old black greyhound called Franky and he is lovely.
I felt guilty about it at first because of Rocky but as you all know i still had his 13 year old son Shep and he was howling every time i left the house as he had spent all of his life with his dad.
I rescued Rocky at a young age and decided that i would do the same again.
As i say he is 4 years old and has a loving and laid back nature which fits in with us all perfectly.
It's so sad that my Rocky can't be here for christmas but i feel happy in the knowledge that i have given another wonderful creature a fresh start, a loving family.
Hope everyone has a wonderful christmas and a prosperous new year!!
Love to you all.
Trudy and familyxxx

well done cherry-was just talking today to a friend about rescue greyhounds-they are really (hard to believe) lazy blighters
good on you!!
I hope that you all have a really good time at Christmas.

My Frankie is a bundle of feline mischief - I am sure that your Franky is just as lovable.

Good for you, I wish more people would adopt greyhounds, they're lovely dogs.

Hello everyone and a very merry xmas to you all!

Franky is so laid back he is horizontal. I take him out for around half an hour and then he comes home and sleeps for about 2 hours lol.
He much prefers lying on the couch getting loads of cuddles.
Shep has taken to him lovely so i'm very pleased.
I think Rocky would be happy as well Ruth, i hope so anyway. Nothing will ever take the place of my Rocky but i feel happy that i have given a lovely dog like Franky a second chance.
My 2 daughters adore him as does my 3 year old son but he still cries for Rocky as of course i do. It was so weird this morning without him. Still i have his ashes so that brings comfort and i feel as if part of him is still here.
I have to say though that we had an amazing bond and we loved each other 100%, i think he would be proud.
Anyway all the best for 2009, take care and i'll speak to you soonxxx
