It's true, some people do need to believe, bobclean, but that belief is usually aligned to religion and, therefore, requires no personal experience to support it. However, the experience of others, who often have no religious leanings whatsoever, simply leaves them with no alternative but to consider the survival of the soul a reality.
I believe in life after death. I believe that earth is a kind of school, where we learn and keep learning after many reincarnations. Eventually, when we have no more to learn, we finally finish reincarnating and help to train other souls who are still in the cycle.
I believe that we all are at differing stages or levels of learning. There are some folk I know who just go on repeating the same mistakes and just 'don't get it' they are at a lower level than those with compassion and insight, or the person who is wise and often in this life described as an 'old soul.'

Actually ive just posted on the chatterbank forum, my property is haunted so yes there definatly is life or something after death, i have seen a ghost as has my 20 year old daughter, we have had the paranormal team in to investigateand what they found is very interesting, they have put all the video and information onto their website, but what i now want to know is, why most mornings when im in the house alone do i smell toast cooking? anyone have any ideas whythis could be, i dot want to call them back in to investigate again, so thought i would ask here. Thanks
If you want to look deeper into this then may i suggest looking on youtube at quantum pyshics.

There is actually more space between atoms then there is atoms. Which basicly means there is more nothingness than there is solid substance. So if you was to put every single atom in the known universe together it would fit into the size of a pea. which means that once everything in the universe was made up of the same thing.

People have hypothesised that what holds the atoms together is actually energy. But saying that if the world is full of nothingness then what do we see with our human eyes. Again scientisits are of the opinion that mathematicly we shouldnt actually be seeing anything, but we do.

But anyway I think that we all contain a certain energy which could be called our "souls". Some people think that your energy is recirculated amongst the universe, but if we are all part of the same thing then thinking about it we never what we call "die" we just move on to another plane of existence.

One thing I am 100% sure of is.......one day we will all find out LOL

surly Life after death is reincarnation. i dont believe in life after death beacuse death is the end - the only way we live on is through other people i.e your children, friends because their memorys still makes you exist in a way
When you die you fall asleep but never dream, and never wake up.
We certainly pass on our physical characteristics in our genes so possibly we pass on memories subconsciously.
In the 60s or 70s there was a newspaper story of a lady being hypnotised and she went back to a 'past life'. She described being in a church crypt in York hiding from soldiers during a purge of Jews. Her last words were 'they are coming, they have found us'. The strange thing is the church authorities said there was no crypt under the church the lady had described - but when they investigated further there was.
I think this is a personal matter and people's opinion shouldn't be ridiculed by others. As such the reasons for this belief can be many and varied and egg-heads could do a lot better by not professing they know all the answers.
No life after death except in the memory of survivors.
I've often wondered what happens to all the energy that is in anyones body once they die..for instance if someone was on the battle field full of passion and enrgy and all of a sudden gets shot in the head they just drop dead with no sign of all that energy he had a few seconds ago. Is your energy what we call a soul and it somehow just leaves as soon as you snuff it.. and were does all this energy go? if you were driven by batteries just imagine how many batteries it would take to energise a human being.. and it all goes in a second.
To mibn2cwes. Further to the answer about my dead nephew being on the photograph, which i took in my house.
There were no photo's of him on the wall at all, i had taken a photo of my great neice (my dead nephews neice) and he was looking over her shoulder surrounded by 2 bright orbs of light, this being spirit activity.
Look it up on You Tube( type in Orbs)
