how do i reduce buffering on my laptop.

Buffering is the speed at which the video temporarily
downloads. You could pause the process to allow catchup
but it's really dependent upon your speed of download.
so the only answer is to get a faster internet connection
I little more detail might help.

if you mean buffering when watching YouTube videos etc. then if your computer is towards the minimum recomended RAM then increasing your ram may help a little, but realistically speaking the only way to eliminate buffering is to get a faster internet connection.

on YouTube if you pause the video as soon as it starts playing and then wait a couple of minutes so it can load a decent amount of the video and then continue playing you may find it stops buffering mid video
