Blackberry storm.....again!

Ok why does it tell you haow to rewire the space shuttle but not the simplest of things? All I want to do is make a note, not an appointment, text message, email etc etc. On my old phone I could just go to the organiser and make a short text note to myself, what is the equivalent on the Storm? I have the manual in PDF I have scanned it and I can't find out, some kind soul put me out of my misery, thanks!

Thanks but where is Notepad? I search the whole manual and the prase "Notepad" does not appear.
