Today whilst ordering a few drinks for me and a few other friends i was greeted by a smiley barmaid , who asked how she could help was all happiness and teeth.
Very nice and approachable i thought.

2minutes later though myself and the others at the table were treated to a display of her manner to the younger staff member.
Very sharply telling the girl to clean all the tables .And to use a cloth washed in hot soapy water. Her tone was very aggressive .
And finally the look she gave the youngster before leaving nearly flattened my pint.

2 minutes later she was back in bubbly barmaid mode asking us what wed like .

The mask firmly back in place .
poor youngster looked rather dejected.
Is there any need to talk to young staff like this in front of customers ?
I Think not , though some may disagree.

Now in all fairness you, and obviously us, don't know if there's any history between those two. The youngster could be a work shy layabout who has to be told to do EVERYTHING, which would annoy anyone. Then again the smily barmaid could really be a cow.

She's nice to your face, because that's her job to be, I'm willing to bet that inside she's thinking "here's ya pint, cough up the money and sod off quietly"
The fact that she was serving an ******** may have something to do with it.
i hate all customers i'm horrible to them all, i like the other bar staff though
This is obviously made up as leg end has no friends.
