Just looking for a ball park on the sort of cost it would be to have an average brick ex with tile roof windows all round & door. the same shape of an average hexagon conservatory. Or if anyones had any such work recently. Using average materials & notthing flashy. TIA

If you do this, Building Regulations will apply and it has to be 'flashy' enough to meet minimum standards of construction, ventilation, insulation.
What you require is an extension or a sun room.
You are correct ethel. That is exactly what I am after. I was just wondering..like...would one guestimate...20K..30K or more. Do builders make up the price ...when they take a look at the house/area ect. And add a bit more on....Anyway its not a big issue ...I will just have to annoy some builder for quotes....
I would expect in the region of 10 - 15k, depending on the foundations; the existing brickwork and the amount of tying in required.
I assume you'll want a radiator.
Also, drains may have to be moved. If you are 'handy' yourself and intend to do the finishes such as painting and decorating, this can keep costs down.

is that true though Ethel - i ver recently wanted some work done, but all the tradespeople are busy round my way cause people dont want to move s instead they extend
