Hi all...I have a Fiat Grande Punto , 2 years old with 15,500 miles on the clock from new. I have been quoted 350...for the second service.............

I was rather taken aback by this.....I paid 180 for the first service after 1 year and 6.900 miles which I thought was rather a lot, but this has rather shaken my faith in my dealer whom I always took to be a fair enough guy (for a car dealer that is ;-))

Any comments please from Grande Punto owners in particular or anyone else...........

Thanks...commoner.

Hi, they are trying to rip you off for a start although they try and fob you off by saying the car HAS TO BE DONE by the dealers (Take no notice) there are a lot of small VAT REg garages that will do the job providing they use the genuine parts for the car inturn that will hold your warrantee, check around your area for a family run garage ask for a quote in writing then take it from there, A lot of peole are under the impression that the car has to be serviced by the dealer I understand before it is said a Ford Mech to a Ford Etc but I like everyone else knows when they are getting ripped off as you have said.
first services are alsways cheaper as most of the time nothing actually gets replaced, only checks and adjustments are made
