rounding up to nearest pound

Obviously �1.38 would be rounded down to �1.00 and �1.68 would be rounded up to �2.00 but does �1.50 get rounded up or down?

Just doing a spreadsheet at work and rounding the figures to the nearest pound and couldn't remember about 50p

It's personal choice, some people round down and some up.

In maths, 1.50 is rounded up to 2 and I would guess the same goes for financial situations too.
