Hi All, give me your views on my current contract.

I work for a manufacturing company that has 50 people employed in it. I control all the stock and produce stock reports at the end of the month to produce a financial report for the director of the company standings.

I originally started working through a agency, but were impressed and took me on a three month contract to sort all stores out and the system used on the computer before giving me a staff salaried job. That was May last year.In my appraisal they set out parameters and guidelines i had to meet. I have met them but they keep putting my appraisal off. since then  I have now moved the warehousing and stores to a new 40,000 sq ft unit but they keep fobbing me off at my appraisal saying they want this and that. they are obviously impressed. if they take me on a permanant contract could i ask for back pay? p.s i am earning under 7 an hour

any advice would be great!!

I don't think you can ask for back pay but, what you could do is ask for a meeting and explain how you have met their criteria. If your bosses have said that they will make you perm on these conditions I can't see why you shouldn't be. Make sure you put across what you have improved for the company and sell yourself. I have to say my advice is don't just hold out for them keep your options open because unfortunately bosses don't always give us the credit we deserve.
