Does any body use fake tan? ive tried a lot of cheap ones and ive just bought Xen Tan which seemed ok at first but it seems to be going orange now which is what i found with the cheap ones. Ive been told that St Tropez goes orange and Fake Bake washes off...As anybody got any ideas as to what to try next?

I just got a new one called calafornia tan, its a foam and is slightly coloured so you can see where you have and have not applied it, it works within 2 hours and produces a lovely colour, got it from superdrug.
I used Matalan's Calypso Holiday Glow.

stupid cheap (about 2 a bottle) and really really good. it builds up over a few days application so you don't overdo it. no streaks, no mess, no stains and a really good, natural looking colour.

how much was yours lil?
check out your local salon or ebay and try out hi shi (think thats spelt right, its very good and very professional, once youve got your colour tho the key to prolonging it is to put baby oil over your skin just before you get out of the shower. works a treat and you can get well over a week from a good tan. hope you find what your looking for, another cheaper one is the avon mousse, very good and quick colour, fake bake is great and its only the residue that washes off, you need a couple of applications tho for a deep colour.
I like Loreal Sublime Bronze. Its got colour so you can see where you put it ( always helpful.........) I can manage an smooth tan even on my back. It has a shimmer which I dont like but that bit washes off .
Hiya yummymum, it qwas from superdrug and was 9.99, hope this helps!
I find Dove the best you don't get the horrid smell and it does last without you turning into an umpa lumpa
Of all the cheapies I found Garnier Summer body or L'Oreal Nutrisummer to be the best - it's a tinted moisturiser though, one that builds over a couple of days though, not a proper fake tan if you know what I mean. They're about 5 a tube.

I also tried Nivea, Dove and Johnsons and They gave me orange bits :-(
I only ever used the Dove Summer Glow (think that's what it's called). I only pay 99p for a bottle, too, from the 99p Store (funnily enough!).

As long as you rub, rub, rub, it doesn't streak and the smell isn't too horrendous either. One application is enough for me, though, otherwise it looks really unnatural.
Personally, I don't think any of them look good in the autumn and winter. I use Dove as well in the spring and summer and the colour is fine (I use the light one as I am fair skinned). However, fake tan and winter clothes seem to look awful (well on me anyway).
Fortunately, I don't need to use fake tan, but my granddaughter bought some called Almay & said it's brilliant.
I used to use fake bake but it dosnt last very long and you get patches round the inside of your arm...i wouldnt recommend it at all lol
