I have a programme that has appeared on my computer and when I try to uninstall it my system freezes, and if I try it in safe mode it crashes, how do I uninstal SIDEWIND??? Thanks

No need to rstore and reinstall everything. 

Download CWShredder from www.intermute.com
If that doesn't work, make a note of the folder(s) that contain the sidewind files then use a bootdisk available free from www.bootdisk.com
Use the bootdisk to boot the machine to dos then type:
c:\delete followed by a spacethen type in the folder and file name of Sidewind program.
e.g.  c:\delete program files\sidewind\sidewind.exe
Now remove floppy disc and start Windows.  Download a good anti-virus, such a AVG from Grisoft and also an anti spyware application such as Spybot and Spysubtract.
