I have Freeview in my TV and my DVD player. Why can't I get BBC4? Half the time the channel is unavailable, otherwise the picture is terrible and clicky all the time. I just give up now.

It is probably caused by the connection of the aerial to the TV. Worst case scenario, the aerial needs adjusting or replacing.

Best case scenario, try jiggling the cable a bit. On my freeview, I get all channels OK (and on a 40 year old aerial) except channel 5 and 5 US. That said, I have found by making sure the aerial cable doesn't touch other cables and by placing it a certain way behind the TV, I get a perfect picture.

Or try a cheap signal booster from Woolies or a DIY store.

Thanks postdog .. but something really spooky has happened. I have had my TV with Freeview for about six months, and no BBC4. Last night I tried again cos I wanted to watch Cartland (waste of time by the way) .. and hey presto the picture is perfect. Could 'someone out there' have been fixing transmitters ??
I get same with C5....doesn't seem to be on Freeview or my Digibox?

Agree about the aerial and sometimes its just a slight breeze on aerial.
