Hi - hope you can help a very confused person. I'm going to be in South Africa for 7 weeks and need advice on the cheapest way to to accept calls/texts on my mobile from another mobile in the Uk - and vice versa. (no access to a landline or the internet). Am I better getting a SA sim card, a global sim card or simply using one of the phone numbers which diverts your call to a cheap rate first? Any advice would really helpful thanks
South African pay as you go sim cards are dirt cheap as are the cost of texts to the UK. I unlocked my 3 mobile contract phone and used it on a S.A.Vodacom sim card in April and will do the same in March next year. Vodacom has good signal coverage around the country . Have a super time there it's a magnificent country with loads to see
Cheers
