I think you must mean Warren Beatty. He lived in the penthouse suite, entertaining many stars, including Barbra Streisand and Julie Christie. The hotel is dripping with Hollywood history. The Regent Beverly Wilshire was where the Eddie Murphy character stayed in Beverly Hills Cop (1984). Dashiell Hammett wrote The Thin Man there. In the late 1950s, Elvis Presley lived there for several years while filming at the nearby Paramount Studios. Other long-term residents have included John Lennon, Cary Grant, Mick Jagger and Elton John.
