My springer is not / has not been pregnant but is producing milk in abundance. My vet has tried two treatments neither of which seem to be working. Also she is big but does not get overfed so I wonder what kind of hormonal problem may be causing this.
Any experienced similar? Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.
Thanks P.S. She is only 19 months old

Phantom pregnancy by the sound of it, there are many treatments, but you may find having her spayed is the best cure.

She is not showing any other phantom pregnancy symptoms and cannot be speyed as long as she is producing milk.
That is the eventual plan.

When was she is season?

A homeopathic remedy called Pulsatilla may help.

She was in season (her 2nd but 2 months late) in July.

Where would I get Pulsotilla from please?

Thanks
When my dog had a phantom pregnancy I gave her a handbag or a teddy, It didnt cure her but seemed to give her comfort
Try giving her Epsom Salts, this will dry up her milk. Half a teaspoon a day on food.
