Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can someone please tell me if Cryptic 2453, 30 across is SEE THE POINT or GET THE POINT? I'm getting fed up with these ambiguous clues.

See the Point has been the general answer here...
However I did use Get the Point when I originally did the crossword. Since I never enter the competition, it is not an issue for me. So I will bow my head and let some of the other avid DT puzzlers comment.

I too put 'get the point' when I originally did this crossword online but 'see the point' is a better fit to the clue in my opinion.

Clearly the only real solution is to buy two papers, which may be the Telegraph's ploy for surviving the credit crunch.

I would always tend to say "get the point" than "see the point", so i'll just toss a coin, and see what I get.

I have given this further thought, and on consideration, with apologies to Catron, I actually think that GET THE POINT fits the clue better than SEE THE POINT, as the purpose of a sheath is obviously to prevent the dagger sticking into its owner, rather than conceal the blade.

It will be interesting to see what the actual answer is, and I imagine, one way or another, a lot of entrants will be disappointed, which is a shame because the real problem is not that the clue is obscure, but the phrasing is simply lazy.
