Like everyone else still struggling on this quiz ! I am stuck on 4.
38 Semi-strike in part of ship is given the bird (7)
69 Newspaper man and a bishop get into rows - and
make a spectacle of themselves (3,6)
85 The bird, female and liberal, to avoid! (8)
100 Now lighhts off for those of you who puzzle until the
early hours!

I kmow some clues have been given for 38 & 69 but I can't find them anywhere!

read 100 as
1st word evening
2nd word bird of Harrys
38) oart of ship is on the bottom (and it's not hull). Semi-strike is STR and the anser is a bird of prey

69) newspaper man is ED. Bushop is ARR

100) is an anagram of lights out

I think goofy and I are both giving clues to 2 different answers
For 100 I agree with Goofy - definitely an anagram. The first word is later than evening but the second one is still a bird owned and used by Harry Potter.
think the clues may be going the same direction now
