I am searching for the title of a series made in the 60s or 70s, black and white. It was sometimes shown as part of the "Banana Splits." Then also on its own as a series in its own right during the summer holidays. He was a lone "crusader" dressed in flowing white robes fighting in the desert. I know he was very handsome, and he never got dirty - it was around the time of the crusades and was fighting the arabs. He was a goodie.

Does anybody remember this series and its title? Thanks a lot.

Was it Arabian Knights?

Thanks both. Unfortunately it was neither of those.

He was dressed in white like an Arab, but was not an Arab and he was in a desert. He never got dirty! This little fact always sticks in my mind. I keep thinking it was shown in "Banana Splits," but I might be mistaken here.

It was shot in black and white. Perhaps in the 60s or even the 50s, not sure.
The Banana Splits was all colour, so it wasn't part of that show, it may have been shown in the same sort of time-slot.
Zorro sprang to mind, though he was dressed in black.
Danger Island?
was it "Desert Crusader"? (aka "Thibaud")

Thank you mushroom25 - it looks like it was! Thanks for the link! Too bad it is only a French DVD with no subtitles.
