I know Zac - so do I.
But why, at my age, when the word flap is mentioned, do I have to contain my hysteria?

Question Author

Gherkin?
Originally I think it was meant to be hmmm or mmmm, generally the noise you make when you want to say something but say nothing.

Shakespeare wrote, Seal up your lips and give no words but mum

So nowadays we say mums the word because, as we all know, mum knows best.
Question Author
Gawd blimey - my mum doesn't.
If she had her way, I'd be married to a ginger haired boring impotent accountant and living in Swaffham by now... ;-)

(His name was Tim. He wasn't dim. But...)
I dont know any poor accountants, you would have been a kept woman!

Admittedly you may have had to redirect his bestial proclivities every now and again, but think of the house, the car, the holidays, and the money!

Are you sure about your mother? I think she had your best interests at heart Lady Chatterly.

Question Author
Oh I'm sure she did really.
But, I married a farmer.
Oh well, s*it happens...
