You are in a balloon along with Russell Grant, Dawn French, Meat Loaf and Patrick Moore (sky at night).

You want to chuck one of them over the side, but the balloon wont get into the air because of the weight.

what do you do?

I wouldn't climb into a balloon with that lot in the first place! Okay I wouldn't mind a balloon trip with Dawn French, but the rest of them - forget it!

Well, ignoring the fact that you`re in the gondola or basket & not the balloon, one could get rid of some of the ballast that balloons tend to carry in order to chuck out to gain height when necessary. Otherwise, chuck out Meatloaf, `cos the others aren`t too likely to start singing! ;o)
