In the run up to my holiday.

It is the thought of getting on the plane and yet once I am on the plane I am ok.

Weird or what, even right now my stomach is churning and I cannot bring myself to eat.

Do you get feelings like this???

lets not hope when it takes off there is a fuel leak in one of the engines causing the wing to go up in flsames and crashing into the ground

or

mid flight one of the cracks in the main wing support propogates too such an extent that the vibrations sheer the bolts holding on the engine causing the plane to spiral to the ground

or

the landing gear doesnt some down. the plane crash lands and after sliding along the ground it bursts into a ball of flames.

I will keep my fingers crossed fg
I'm sure when I was at school we used the term "flump" for a fart.

funnygirl stop worry ing, these occurances are very rare, you will be fine, just relax and have a stiff one , ( NO PROBLEM THERE, ) just remember you are in more danger driving to work,

mind you , If you shed a couple of stone the aircraft would get off the ground more easilly,
Enjoy your hols.

PS don't forget my stick of rock.
lets hope you dont die of cancer flump or any other terminal disease eh!
Hi funnygirl, I love flying and do get a little bit nervous but find that if you occupy yourself it takes your mind off it. I normally occupy myself by keeping my sis (who is really scared of flying) chatting! Enoy your holiday!
Hi FG...you could maybe try Bach 'Rescue Remedy'...get it in most chemists/Boots etc. Start taking it now in the run up to your hols....should help a little with your anxiety. Anyhow you are probably running round doing a million things at the minute getting ready to go away, so your body is no doubt out of sorts, nervous, anxious, excited, etc....
-- As you say, you are always ok when you get on the plane. :-)

Thanks Silkcut, I will try that and get some today in my lunch hour!!

And Logic As ever the gentleman.
Don't worry I won't forget your stick of rock and will shove it where the sun don't shine!!!
If your'e reffering to my anal region, let me assure you, that the sun actually shines, out of there, :-)
Hi funnygirl , sounds like all the anticipation of the holiday rolled into one ball of apprehension !. Did I pack every possible thing I could, turn off relevant appliances, cancel the milk, remembered where the passports are ?? The list is endless and sitting on the plane is the time when even thinking of these things is too late !! Coupled with the wonderful excitement that the break is causing ! No wonder you are a bag of nerves, I would be ! When the plane has taken off all your cares will be left on the tarmac, go enjoy !! XXX
