AVG and Gmail

Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction of a tutorial that would let me use AVG with Thunderbird and a pop gmail account because i have found a few but had no luck in getting avg to pick up that i am connecting to gmail. thanks for any help

You must remember that Gmail is only a testing thing from google and is not totaly public yet. it may not be yet compatible with AVG.

i actually forgot i had poted this but i think that it has somthing to do with avg scanning a certain port for pop email and that gmail forces you to use another. but anywya i will send you an invitation if anyone else wants just post here
