My hubby and I have been trying for a baby for just over 2 years now (I have an 11 year old from my first marriage). My son was my first pregnancy and went without a hitch. Since having my son, I have suffered an ectopic pregnancy and 2 miscarriages. After tests it was discovered that I am not ovulating now. Today I had a hysterosalpingogram (examination x-ray of womb and fallopian tube by inserting dye), and have started taking clomid on day 2 to 6 of my cycle. Has anyone else had this form of treatment and did it work for them?

Hi,
I to have had a Hystogrammy thingy bob, and I to have been prescribed Clomid, I take it exactly like you do, on day two. I have been on it since April and as yet it hasnt worked, however, there is also someone on here who was also prescribed clomid at the same time as me and she is now expecting, everybody is different so dont give up
I have been trying for just over a year now and I am due to go back to the hospital at the end of Sept to see what happens next.
I havnt had any side effects from clomid, did when I first started to take it made me feel sicky, but now I feel ok. Just dont give up, keep trying
Good Luck

I had clomid treatment & it worked for me straight away, after 2 miscarriages. I am now trying for baby no 2 and wondering if it was that, that actually worked for me last time - I say that because wasnt there alot of hype recently in the news about clomid not working........???
They suggested clomid to improve the quality of my eggs and gave me progesterone pessaries to thicken lining of the womb in case it was not doing so for the embryo to attach itself. We all get so caught up in trying for babies understandably but I think there is alot to be said for taking some time out and having a damn good holiday to just relax and see what happens! I hope it all works out for you ;0)
