Why oh why is Ian Beale sitting UPSTAIRS in a wheelchair following his accident? Why would anyone take a wheelchair upstairs!!!! I know it's fiction but that's ridiculous!!

I was wondering when someone would mention the similarity to Hitchcocks "Rear Window"!
Adam Woodyatt doesnt quite have the appeal or screen presence that Jimmy Stewart had!
