need help on decorating a hall for a party

i have a party coming up and i am doing the food and decorating the hall. i have lots of balloons etc but not sure how to decorate it and where to start as i dont want the hall to look boring

a bunch of balloons on the centre of each table looks good. held down with a fancy paper weight. i prefer it when people stick to a certain colour or 2 colours too as i think too many colours makes it look a bit tackey.

stick to a simple plan as sometimes it can look a bit over the top

You could stick balloons all over the place in the hall?

You've got a hall, and some balloons, over to you.

Balloons as lozzylou suggested ar good and also strings of lights. That way you can turn the main lights down and it looks quite pretty.

Use fishing line to secure the balloons to the weight and also put ribbon, though not as long as the fishing line, it makes the balloons look like they are floating. You can also make arches with the line too. it's not too hard to do.
