I love books about people travelling back in time, not particularly Science Fiction ones but novels, I once read a really good one about someone going back to the time of the great plague, can anyone recommend anything like this please (I've read the Time Travellers Wife). Thanks in advance

I'd second 'Cloud Atlas' absolutely brilliant. You might enjoy 'The End of Mr Y' by Scarlett Thomas.
Diana Gabaldon has a series Outlaner, Dragonfly in Amber, Drums of Autumn . Very good.

Thank you Allen....I have a good list now, I'm glad I asked.

I've just read Somewhere in Time by Richard Matheson, yes it was lovely and sad as well, I also read What Dreams May Come by the same author, I read it right through but didn't enjoy it as much as "Somewhere".

Have now ordered three more off the list from my library.
Green Darkness by Anya Seton (set in the 1960s and the reign of Henry VIII) - creepy and v good! (She also wrote the classic, non-time-travelling romance Katherine)
