My uncle is 83. He's been a heavy smoker for all of his adult life. Never exercised. He's now suffering from Alzheimers, but physically he is fit and healthy.

My cousin died at 35. He never smoked, he exercised regularly and looked after himself. He died of a brain haemorrhage.

My aunt was a heavy smoker and did no exercise, ate junk food and drank too much. At 54 she turned over a new leaf, gave up the booze and fags, started eating salads and took up jogging. At 55 she was on her way back from a 2 mile jog when she got hit by a bus and died.
Just goes to show...

Ah yes, there's a moral in the story there, gem!
A relative of ours started smoking in her 30's, and puffed from morning til night. She died a couple of years ago, simply from old age - at 92.
11 years ago my mate died from Lueakemia (sp), he never smoked, he drank a few pints on the odd occasion we could drag him away from work

After visiting him in hospital we was told the chemo fooked him up because his body was so clean and wasn`t used to the drugs...he died 2 weeks later

Whenever he was out with us he always used to joke that we`d kill ourselves if we carried on the way we were
Fate can be rather cruel at times gem.
Sorry to hear about your aunt.
My father passed away last year in September. He had progressive prostate cancer.
He died at the age of 79 peacefully in his sleep,in his own bed.We all loved him dearly.
It's just me and my mum now.My two brothers have got houses of their own.I don't have any sisters.
