i have been intimate with Legend for months now. He enticed me with his pics, I thought he looked a bit like that fat bloke from that comedy Benidorm. I saw the pics 4gs posted of him, please tell me he is not that man in t.he hat! I feel so used.

Although is that the road with lots and lots and lots of hills which makes your stomach go bonkers. And every blummin hill has a speed camera at the bottom? I normally go A696 at then up through the Kielder Forest, but with the roadworks on the A1 and it being BH weekend, I'm going to take a flyer on the M6 for a change.
Reckon I can do it in 8 hours.

The M6? Dreary? Surely not?
You get to see the distant dreaming spires of Coventry, to enjoy the delights of Birmingham's industrial areas and to admire the way that the road planners put increasingly confusing signs every few miles. What could be more fun?
Seriously though, you often get fog patches on the A14 at this time of year, especially around Kettering (just as you're beginning to get really bored). Please take care! We don't want to lose you ;-)

Old? Never!
Mature? Possibly.
I love 'Ladies of Letters'. Last year I listened to one of the series (in the early evenings) on BBC7. I enjoyed it so much that I just had to listen to the 'omnibus edition' at the end of the week. At that time, I'd not got a DAB radio, so I had to receive it through Freeview. It meant making up the bed settee inthe living room, and staying awake until the early hours of the morning, but it was worth it.

Thanks Dabees!!! ;-)
Yes Chris, I prefer mature!! They just make me laugh SO much. I'm not ALL radio plays and radio 4 though. I've got a bit of Blondie, some Runrig, some Scissor Sisters, some Amy Macdonald and a few other things to keep me amused. Together with the Chopin, Khachacturian (sp?!) and opera compilation! I've got 8 hours to fill!!!

I think the word 'eclectic' was created for you, Barmaid.
Blondie - I'm not particularly keen on.
Runrig - I've probably heard him/her/them but I don't even recognise the name.
Amy MacDonald - I recognise the name but that's all.
Chopin - Generally too soporific for me when I'm driving.
Khachaturian - Well, I know the Sabre Dance but I'm struggling a bit after that.
My driving choices? The Tractors, Buddy Holly, Glenn Miller, Mozart, Nortec Collective . . . (Er. perhaps 'eclectic' was created for both of us!)
