twitching eye

My fella is getting a really bad twitch about half an inch under his actual eye, he has been getting it every so often for the last year, it looks like it is pumping away and no matter what he does it doesnt go away....any ideas whats causing it and what can be done to stop it...thanks in advance!

Could be lack of magnesium or general tiredness, stress, dehydration etc...
Much too complicated for AB website, due to multiple causes. See your GP as appt. to Ophthalmologist may be necessary.
I agree with the above, get him to see a GP. I get this a lot and its an indicator of stress/tiredness. Usually a week off work or a weekend doing nothing and catching up on some kip and it stops for a while
I get this whenever I'm stressed or haven't had much sleep. I've been getting it every now and again for years.

stress does it for me, but there could indeed be other causes. He should have it checked out properly.
Like Richard i get this when i'm tired and stressed, and it's always my right eye. i agree with everyone - better to be safe than sorry.
Could be a lack of potassium..........
