One of my four year olds daughters hamsters is at deaths dorr me thinks and has been for several weeks. It looks all lumpy like it might have tumours and its underneath is all raw and bleeding in places. It walks a few steps then seems to collapse and sleep for a while. I don't know what to do, i've been trying to keep it comfortable by washing its underside and putting sudacreme on it. My husband says that he will step on it if I want but I couldn't bear it. I can't afford vets fees either. Is there anything I can do? The hamster is one year old by the way.
Do you think the sport of 'Vet-knocking' will catch on among those who have low intellect. The same people who believe it to be their right to own animals they don't care for properly.
How many cigarettes do you smoke a day Swiper?
Thank you everyone for your helpful answers.
Sorry if I was snippy yeaterday, but I'm just going through a bad patch.
Good news is i'm going to the vets tomorrow and have been assured it should be no more than 25.
On the other hand my hamster seemed spritley this morning and was scooting around its cage, eating and drinking, maybe there's hope yet!
