I'll be honest - I'm not sure how specific it is to each 'phone, but here are the instructions for mine (a Motorola headset and a Motorola V500 'phone):

  • With the boom closed, press and hold the multifunction button on the headset. A light should come on for three seconds;
  • Immediately open the boom;
  • "Search for Devices" on your mobile and it should pick up the headset;
  • Type the pin number as 0000 and they will be automatically paired from now on.

Hope that helps. As I say, it could be different for different systems, but there will be a "default" pin code for it. Try the Belkin or Samsung websites and contact them if the above doesn't work.

You normally specifiy the code yourself upon first pairing.
Skids is right - just enter any code of four digits or more.  As long as you enter the same one on each device you'll be fine.  I guess from you later question though that you know this already :-)
Skids and Gandy - that only applies if it's possible to input a code into your Bluetooth accessory... With earpieces and dongles, for instance, there is no way of entering the same PIN code as you can't type a code into an earpiece or dongle. It only works if the Bluetooth device you're pairing it with has an alpha/numeric input, like two Bluetooth 'phones, for example.

As there is no input on earpieces etc., manufacturers usally use the default code 0000 to use on the 'phone (only). Trying to pair my earpiece with my 'phone and using, say, 1234, does not work.
Yeah, I know.  I got the same with my Motorola headset.  Mollymoo's question wasn't about headsets though so there was no need to complicate the issue.
