I have never seen as many birds in our garden as during the last three or four weeks.  I can't keep up with their appetites.  I think the word has spread around Norfolk that there's free grub up for grabs.

Has anyone else noticed huge amounts of birds?  I seem to have loads of varieties too - and quite a few very noisy owls.  Unfortunately the Kestrels have set up their own 'Bird Watch' in one of our trees - however, it is only natural and I love to see them.

You are one very lucky girl FP, but then you do live in the country and also in the county that birds seem to love the most!

Living in the centre of an urban sprawl we have very little in the way of birdies now. For some reason, and  almost without exception the first thing that new people plus developers do is to uproot trees!! Sorry, but it makes me so angry.

Did you see in the paper today that the mild winter has made a few Swallows remain here. One was spotted inyour direction, at Hunstanton. It makes you wonder what we will see next!

Cetti,  Perhaps that Swallow seen at Hunstanton was the one that got left behind in my garden when they all went south.  I hope so, because if feared for him.  Hunstanton is only about 15 miles from me.

Sad -  a robin hit the window this morning and killed himself.   I hate it when this happens.  Most of my windows have things hanging in them, mobiles, or stickers to stop this happening.

My resident robin is still singing at 21.34pm tonight!!
