Recently i bought a Freeview box & have the abc1 channel. There is a programme called "Nurses" an American comedy set in a Hospital.I remember watching this the first time around on channel 4(early 90's) & i liked it alot. But since watching repeats of the show on abc1 i just don't feel same way about the programme.I wouldn't say it's dated or anything .I was wondering if this has happened to you?.You liked a programme at the time & years later you saw it again & you couldn't see the appeal in it now.

yeh theres loads !

it all depends how well they age.

most stuff from the 80's is rubbish now - knight rider,a-team etc etc

but for me the original Starsky and Hutch is still class !

My personal disappointment was Citizen Smith, thought it has aged very badly?
would agree. Some I loved then and I still love now .  The Professionals is still tv heaven for me....even the theme tune is still fab (wakachooka wakachooka wakachooka wakachooka, dirrin din!)  But others - The A-Team being one - are just sooo bad when you look at them again.
As a child I could laugh with the family at Some Mother's Do 'Ave 'Em. Now, we all sit there and wonder what was funny about it. Instead we play spot the over-actor - every episode has one. (Bit like Keeping Up Appearances)

i used to love "Nurses" - but i know what you mean, it definately doesn't seem as funny now. I think it's because we've now got really good american comedy writers - shows like frasier, friends, seinfeld, larry sanders etc, so now the old ones seem a bit lame.

We used to love the golden girls and soap, but i doubt I'd laugh that much now!

oh yeah. i've just remembered - Roseanne! I used to sulk if I missed it yet I saw an episode t'other week and actually found it quite painful!
