hello my boyfriend has been charged with G.B.H with intent however this incident was involving a family member. he threw a pan of water that was being used for cooking this has been proved. the water was not scalding no permanent scaring. the individual involved is a alcaholic. the accused has been in past on an affray charge. what is the minimum sentance for this charge. he has been seen by a psyciatrist that has said he is not a danger to public.

I think GBH is usually 3-6 years, with intent could increase that.

The fact that the water wasnt scalding cant make a difference surely? or did he check the temp before throwing it over the victim?

Do you really want somebody who would do that as a boyfriend? He might do it to you one day.
