Does anyone know where I can get my lawn mover blade sharpened in the Leicester area.

The place I used has closed down.

It is a Flymow.

Maybe the cost of labour is more expensive than a new one
if it is a blade that looks like a straight boomerang it's easy. remove the blade from the mower, remember to check where the spacers etc go.
i use a flappy wheel attachment on my drill ; look at the blade , it should have one edge that is obviously the ' blade ' , just on the end/tip area, not the whole length. sharpen this at about a thirty degree angle and then smooth off the underside. ( when sharpening the edge will slightly fold/bend down.
you don't want a razor blade sharpness just a robust sharpISH edge. if it's too fine an edge it will bend and blunt quickly.

A new blade is approx 15 - 18 so it would still be cheaper to sharpen.

It is a blade like a bommerang and I have found someone where I work to grind the edge for me.
