Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

4.) A man goes to a hotel on Thursday. He stays for 2 nights and comes back on Thursday. How can this be??

5.)A man lives on the 10th floor of a block of flats. When he goes out of the building he takes the stairs for floors 6-10 and he takes the lift for floors 1-5. When going back up he takes the lift for floors 1-5 and the stairs for floors 6-10, just as he does when he goes out of the building. Why??

6.) 2 people at a bar have the same drinks with ice in them. After they both drink their drinks they find that the drinks were poisoned. However, one drinks their drink fast and lives, while the other drinks theirs slow and dies. How??

5) The person using and lift is a dwarf and cannot reach the buttons in the lift above 5.Hence he has to use the stairs to get to the upper floors.

4. Thursday is the name of the island that the man stayed on.

5. ?? None of the answers to date explain why the man doesn't take the lift straight down when he goes out of the building. I guess there's a specific reason for visiting the 5th or 6th floor when entering and leaving. ???

Palfreyman - Your answer to 5 does not explain why, on the way down, he does not press the ground floor button from floor 10 - he can obviously reach it as he presses it from floor 5 ?? Was the original riddle worded incorrectly ?
