Has anyone had Fibroids removed? If so, how did they do it, how long was recovery and did it solve things for you?

I had fibroids ..many years ago now, but I had, first off a D&C which cured it for a while ,then another ,then another and then I ended up having a hysterectomy .Depends really ..mine became huge and I had constant bleeding ,had my family so wasn't too bothered about having the hysterectomy .If you are still young and haven't had any children or you are intending to have a family than I would think a D&C is the option to go for It could well solve your problem ..it's just an overnight stay in hospital and take it easy for a few days afterwards .
Although these days there are probably different things they can do ..have a word with your GP .
How old are you velvetee? i had a hysterectomy to remove my unborn fibroid lol, if i can help please just askx
There is a fairly new treatment where they, I think, inject sand to kill off the fibroid - I don't know what it is called, but it is apparently very effective.
