Leslie Grantham has been caught having internet sex and faces the sack. Is this really grounds for depriving somebody of their livelihood? He hasn't done anything illegal. The Beeb may have a contract condition stating that people should not bring the organisation into disprepute, but even so, sacking is a bit strong surely? The likes of the News of the World doesn't help by referring to him as a 'vile internet pervert', but I s'pose you have to expect that sort of thing from that rag. F'gawd's sake, let's get a grip (excuse the pun) - so he had a quick one off the wrist. So what. Discuss.

I must freely confess I haven't really followed this story, but didn't he get upto whatever it was in a BBC dressing room?
Anyone who uses porn at work (assuming it's not essential for that work(whatever that might be)) deserves whatever they get. That's not because I have a particular line of thought on porn, but because it's a monumentally thick thing to do. ;-)

AAARRGGHHH this story is driving me crazy!!! What he's done isn't technically illegal (but doing it on work time is probably against his contract).
What I find disgraceful is his colleagues reaction at saying they will walk/out strike if he isn't sacked, for calling them names. THE MAN IS A CONVICTED MURDERER. but apparently that makes him ok to work with. How these people can sl*g him off and say that they won't work with his for calling Jessie Wallace "vile" and Sahne Ritchie "arrogant" (which is probably true anyway) is beyond me. He killed someone, and yeah he's done his time whatver - try telling that to the man's family.
Leslie Grantham is a convicted murderer. He murdered a taxi driver in Germany whilst on national service or something in the 60s. Allegedly killed him for his money, but he was convicted and served 11 years. I am the sort of person who holds grudges, and like i said he may have serve dhis time but he killed someone's son, don;t know about his family but possibly also someone's husband/brother/dad. I find it incredible that these people at Eastender will work with a murderer but not someone who has a bit of cyber sex and calls them names. Quite frankly they obviously are all vile if they think that's enough to upset them. *rant over*
Wow! Some of you people have a really harsh idea of what justice should mean! How far do you extend your vitriol? Child abusers, sure... rapists..? Yeah, I'd guess. Muggers? Non payment of taxes? Dope smokers? Burglars?
There's a basic principle of law here which you seem to be suggesting shouldn't be applied with universal sufferage. I'm just kind of... concerned as to where you think the law should be drawn? This isn't to condone Grantham's past, but you raise serious issues.

I do not think he should be sacked for pulling one off at work on an internet camera and sending vibrators to participating slappers whilst accessing porn on his fat salary, nor even because he murdered an innocent taxi driver and should have been hung, no, I believe he should be sacked because he is such an appalling actor so unbelievable and well past his sell by date.
