CSI series 1 title music on the dvd

Last year I bought series 1 of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on DVD. For some reason, the music on the title and end credits of all the episodes is different to the music played when the series is shown on tv, and indeed the later series, yet is still credited as being "Who Are You" by The Who. Can anyone explain why this is and has anyone else experienced this?

It's present on all the S1 DVD's. They didn't manage to secure the rights to use the music until S2 was released. (I don't know if any subsequent releases of S1 will "correct" this).
