im waiting for a hearing at the moment as i have made a mistake in my job. a mistake that had consequences on the company. i didnt make this mistake on purpose . the company knows this.
if i am sacked will i be able to get a new job?
i know the company would give me references still as they like me and i have worked there a long time, and if they do sack me its only coz they have to!!
in any future interviews i would prefer to tell the truth that i was sacked in case i was found out and i would have a clear head!!

To plaice,

You must be very worried at the moment , and I am sorry for this.

Are you able to take a Union Rep to the hearing, or a friend perhaps, just to be another pair of ears for you.?

You seem to be at the end of a disciplinary procedure, do you know what the procedure is?

Are there not any warnings before a person gets sacked?

I would advise that you check out what the process for discipline is, this may be in your contract.

The very best of luck
Brenda.
Unless you committed gross misconduct you cannot be dismissed for your first offence.
