I posted and answer to this question yesterday

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Home-and-Garden/Question88190.html

and it has vanished. I don't think that it has been banned as it doesn't appear in my details either...neither do I think that it was a bannable response, it says pretty much what the current respondent says, adding that there must be clear proof that it is a "real purchase" in case people like the HMIT or VAT man take the view that it has been done to evade tax or VAT

Woofgang - what was your answer? Let me know here, so that I can look into the matter.

I said that spouses could sell houses to each other, but suggested that interested agencies eg HMIT might be interested if there was any possibility of eg tax evasion and that therefore there would need to be clear proof that it was a "real" sale, eg by the payment of stamp duty etcetera. Quite boring really

PS i didn't get an email alert that you had responded to my question either...maybe the gremlins have got it in for me??

Woofgang - I'm afraid there is no record of your answer ever having been posted on the thread to which you refer (entitled Buying a House). Sorry!
