of course it does ..... people wouldn't do it otherwise - would they?
And I thought I was stupid, eh AC?
Although..... pushing the buttons on every one where there is more than one elevator will make one arrive quicker.

If one is going to the 5th floor with no other passenger it will(should) come down again in response to your 'call'.
The other lift which you've just missed has two passengers in it going all the way to the 9th floor so will take longer to come back.

Pushing one button repeatedly will certainly make you feel better, knowing you've 'told' the lift to hurry up.

That`s it , you tell `em` ..............Like.....yeah, ok!!!
no, but be careful, if you push it 5 times you might get 5 lifts turn up at the same time, and then the lift shaft will get really crowded!
oh I see now ... silly me
how embarrasing ...
a bit personal don't you think though
however you look at it - premature arrival is no laughing matter
LMAO @ wildwood! How true!
basically no. it's a logic circuit and the button 'latches' it at first press, which means until the call mode is cancelled by the arrival of the lift, more pressing has no effect whatsoever...sorry!
if you are on the 5th floor & you want to go down to ground & the lift is slow arriving ,run down the stairs to the 4th floor, press the button & then run down to the 3rd floor , continue in this fashion until you reach ground level & then check who has won, you or the lift.
